Anna von Berg advises clients extensively on intellectual property proceedings. In particular, she handles national, European and international patent and design applications, from drafting the application through the examination process to the enforcement and defense of the resulting intellectual property rights. She is also active in opposition and nullity proceedings against competitors' patents. In doing so, she works closely with the inventors and patent departments of her clients, as well as with international colleagues. In addition to managing international intellectual property portfolios, Anna von Berg conducts detailed analyses of competitors’ patents, including freedom-to-operate and patent searches, and advises on license agreements with competitors, start-ups and spin-offs, as well as in the field of employee invention law.
Anna von Berg also acts as a speaker and workshop leader on the secure and legally compliant application of artificial intelligence in the legal sector.
She is a member of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys, the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (EPI), the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI), women in IP e.V. and the Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys (BDPA).
